Junior Daughters Prayer God of Love, God of Life, God of Holy Strength, guide us, that by our daily practice of prayer and service we may draw others to Christ. Help us to reach up in hope, receive in spirit, respond in faith and reach out in love for all. We pray that your Kingdom will come for all creation, all people living together in love and peace. For His Sake. Amen.
Please keep in your prayers All children who suffer from hunger and homelessness, illness and injury, abuse and abandonment; the men and women of our Armed Forces; all Junior Daughters and Directresses all over the world.
A
Prayer for Children
by The
Mary Stewart Chapter of the Junior Daughters of the King (2008) St.
Philips Episcopal Church, Jacksonville, FL
Heavenly
Father,
Thank
you for the children. Fill them with your strength, love and guidance. Let your
strong hand keep them from the path of the wicked and lead them in the path of
goodness. Keep them from falling into darkness and those that are lost, may
they find your light of righteousness. Teach them to desire your will and to
accept things they cannot change. Nurture the children who are hurting or in
need. Help them to know when no else is there, you are always listening and
forever love them. Set their hearts on fire for you Almighty God. In Jesus name
we pray. Amen
1. Who are the Junior Daughters? We are Junior members of the Order of the Daughters of the King.
2. What is a Junior Chapter? A Junior Chapter is a group of three or more young women and girls who make a promise to pray daily and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. We are under the guidance and support of a Senior Chapter. A Senior Daughter serves as the Directress and is our leader.
3. Who can join the Junior Daughters of the King? Junior Daughters are girls and young women from 7 to 21 years of age. Membership is extended to all baptized girls.
4. Why become a Junior Daughter? Our chapter gives us a special opportunity to grow in love and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, while serving our church and community. We experience the joy of belonging to Christian fellowship with friends and mentors. We study the Bible, discuss our faith, support each other, and pray for the needs of our community and our world.
5. Do Juniors wear the Cross of the Order? We wear a silver cross with the initials FHS – For His Sake – as a symbol of our promise. For Christ’s sake we pray, we serve, and we reach out in love to all.

New Junior Cross!
Have you seen the new Junior Cross? It is bigger and shinier than the original Junior Cross. So now if you are a new member or if you’ve lost your cross you have the option to buy the smaller one or the new bigger one. To see what they look like check them out on our website on the Cross page under the Margaret J. Franklin Center page.
Congratulations to our New Junior Chapters - Please keep them in your Prayers

What's Happenin'
The Alpha Fund was established at Triennial!
This brand new fund for the Order will now provide financial support to Junior Directresses in their efforts to extend Christ’s kingdom among young women and girls. Named in honor of the first Junior Chapter, the Alpha Fund will be used to help begin new Junior chapters, strengthen existing ones, and provide assistance for retreats, service projects and activities. The in-gathering day for the new Alpha Fund is relevant to the Junior ministry, which is often tied to the beginning and ending of the school year. Therefore the in-gathering day for donations is September 5th in honor of the day Mother Teresa passed away.Junior Daughters are encouraged to study her life and work.
New Junior Daughters Chaplain! Rev. Susan Clayor has graciously accepted the position of the National Junior Daughters Chaplain! She is our first and we are so happy and blessed to have her. Please take a minute and read her meditation to us. God bless. Her email is mailto:claytor79@gmail.com
